HORTA - GUINARDÓ




One of the attractions of the big cities is the rich cultural and patrimonial offers and the tourist attractions. Barcelona is one of the major European cities that offer visitors proposals known internationally, but also many others that are not so much and deserve special attention. Horta-Guinardó is one of those unique areas of the city that gathers many attractions to discover, in the shape of historical sites, panoramic, environmental and architectural.
THE LABYRINTH OF HORTA
In this wonderful district you will find one of the most unique and emblematic spaces of the city, el Parc del Laberint d'Horta. This place is rich in colours, peace and it is quiet. It constitutes one of the main points of concentration of mythological figures. Besides the famous labyrinth of great fun for families and friends, and the beautiful neo-classical mansion, by walking through its paths you can discover many sculptures and reliefs related to mythology, such as: the statue of the nymph Egeria, the relief of Deucalion and Pyrrha or the statue of Eros.
The park Labyrinth of Horta is the oldest park in the city. It was designed in the eighteenth century by Domenico Bagutti and occupies the grounds of the Marquès Desvalls' home, principal of the work. The family owned the property until the 70s, when it passed into the hands of the Council. It is now a public park, to access it you have to pay entrance and seating is limited.






How to get there?

The best mode of transport to get there is the car because the park has parking.

You can also be approached by public transportation, using Line 3 of the metro (Mundet stop) or the buses 27, 60, 73 and 76.

Accessed on foot or by bike is also a good option, but note that the park is located in the upper part of the city.
